These are a few LucidPlay things you can do on your own.


Playing that You Know

Do this with a friend. Have him or her show you pictures of people you don't know. They could be from a photo album, record cover, biography, newspaper, but your friend needs to know a lot about their lives, have looked into in depth, or know them well. Establish the mood as playful, with no pressure at all, nothing like a serious test. Look at the pictures and start making things up about the people's lives, having fun with it, going into many details about everything about them that comes to you effortlessly, keeping going with it at a fast pace. Exaggerate, make fun of them, go into goofy scenerios, be zany, but also, really tune in and see how accurate you really are. You may be surprised at how spot on you are. Maybe some details will be symbolic, some will be wrong, some will be close, but it's very possible most will be startlingly correct.If you had to do it seriously, you might get nothing right, but using LucidPlay attitudes, preferably after doing some Tantric exercises to get you into lower brainwave states, you may discover new aptitude.

Going Past the Norm in a Group

When you are with a group of friends, open minded collegues, family members, in a therapy group, yoga class, etc, try this core LucidPlay exercise and you may see the biggest smiles you've seen before on everyone's glowing face.

Do some release work, moving your body and getting the kinks out, feeling and releasing congestions of emotions in the auric field, expressing some interpersonal dynamics issues, whatever gets you all ready to be able to go into altered states of joy without having to dissociate and leave your bodies. You want your bodies to come with you on this journey.

Use a method like a series of the most powerful Tantric exercises you know go into the most expanded state possible, and extend your identification to the widest levels of your aura. Make the conduit strong between the timeless outer levels of being made of love and wisdom, and the inner core of your body, grounded into the love of the earth. Feel the relationship between your individual selves and the whole of the group. Commit to interacting with the others only from that high level of awareness, the whole time, and allowing no ego agendas, no auric tentacles, no sexual come ons, no dominance, but only from complete sensitivity to the bodies and emotions of the participants, while you communicate from spirit to spirit.

Start letting your body move within the meditation, letting your higher self and the body merge in that conduit of light. You will be in Alpha brainwave frequency. When you start moving your body, don't let yourself make decisions from your conscious mind, the linear, Beta brainwave frequency. Don't try to remember movements, do anything traditionally yogic, consider reasons or how it looks to others, etc. The movements may look like Tai Chi, slow, flowing, stopping at times for extended periods to hold poses. You may move all over the floor, rolling.

Doing this outside on the beach is our favorite! Relate to the physical world around you as extensions of that pulsing blissful light of consciousness. Feel it. Be it. Appreciate it.

As you creatively move, with your creativity bypassing the mind that has been given almost dictatorial control over our bodies most of our lives, your body will let you know what it needs. In yoga, each movement is chosen for very specific reasons that go far, far beyond the physical conditioning. They balance the chakras, the energy whorls, drains, if you will, from each successive layer of the aura. The outer layers are more subtle, and at the chakras, vortexes within each concentric layer, the energy steps down to more dense frequencies, eventually manifesting as the densest layer of the auric energy field, your body.

Yoga also balances the Ida and Pingala, astral pathways of magnetic energy. The Ida is associated with the female, parasympathetic nervous system, the all inclusive, meditative, non linear. The Pingala is associated with the male, sympathetic nervous system, individual, action oriented, linear. The Ida is on the left side of the spine. The Pingala is on the right. Tantra Yoga is the predominant system that has traditionally worked with the subtle pathways of the body. They have all been proved to exist through scientific machinery, just as the meridian system has been traced with the machines as well.

When the energies of the Ida and Pingala are in balance within the self, the energies can be drawn from the dualistic to that which contains and merges with both, yet keeps them both in magnetic resonance, the two within the one. The vitality can flow more strongly through the central channels in the body, from the top pole to the bottom pole of the magnet of the body. By tuning into the electromagnetic flow itself, you become the core forces of the universe.

You become that conscious light, that vibration between the two that is actually one wave. You become the two and the wave itself. Let yourself flow with the rest of the people in the room, feeling the way that there is healthy separation and honoring of boundaries, enjoying the fact that there are others out there, and that you are the wonderful work of art you're creating. And feel the energy that moves between you. Our auras always interact or react in some way on all levels to that which is going on outside us.

Yoga traditionally takes people inside, away from outside distraction. Tantra helps us interact with others on the electrical level. Many Tantric workshops are either white, and the students sit in chairs, focused very strongly on sexuality, and people pair up for cultivating and circulating sexual energies. Both are very helpful in taking people into the higher states. LucidPlay uses Tantric exercises and meditations to go into the high state that both those methods are using, and allows interact with others in a wider variety of ways. Sexual energy is used to go to the higher state. Rather than becoming stuck in one method of getting there, let's just get there. And have a party on that plane!


Cultivating Hypnogogic Imagery

Hypnogogie is the state in between waking and sleeping. Tantra tells us to fall into those cracks of in between to discover the eternal truths. The space in between the cracks is where we connect.

Often, when we are going to sleep, we start dreaming first, and sometimes catch ourselves realizing we aren't asleep, but something odd just happened that didn't really happen! People generally  enjoy the imaginary little movie for a minute and then move onto the next thing in their day, or just go to sleep. However, that state can be cultivated.

Pay attention to it, look for it, induce it by putting yourself in a Theta brainwave state. That is the level of dreams. Alpha is the level of meditation. You would be in both at the same time as you become hypnogogically lucid, like becoming lucid in a dream.

Keep a pen and paper by you and you can learn to write it down at the same time. This involves some dedicated practice but can be shortcut in an office visit with me, and may be induced by hypnosis.

Ask your lucid imagery questions. Take anything they say as answers.

Sneaky LucidPlay

Lucidplay helps shake yourself out of the usual method of going about your life so you can act from the larger, more connected part of your consciousness.

Something simple you can do alone without training to work into a bit of Lucidplay:

 One gentle form of Lucidplay is to tune in to the playful, spontaneous, dreamlike self and distribute things around where you live so other people will find them. You could simply gather up things you don't need any more that you find yourself ready to let go of. Put them in a bag and carry them around your neighborhood and arrange them in little installations here and there. It is a kind of art, with no pressure, just the spirit of play and adventure, putting them where people passing by will see something different  from what they are used to seeing. If you make it dreamlike, and go with your intuition of what to put where, in what order, maybe it will cause an epiphany!

The next step beyond that is to do Lucidplay art or writing, maybe collaborating with someone else while both are connected in deep, playful states of consciousness. Then put it out and about in unexpected places. Maybe create art and/or writing that has the purpose of taking others into meditative states of transformation. I use my Metaportals, for example. If you tune into the flow, you can show up just at the right place and time and pick the right ones to put in spots that people may come across and find just what they need to see. You can also take them with you and hand them out to people at the right moments.

Feeling the Auras

Do some form of activity that creates a common vibration and a flow of love between people, either in a group or with another person, or animal. You may tone together feeling the harmonics, or do contact improve movements from a meditative space after doing some Tantric, Taoist, Zen, or similar exercises. Whatever you do, move beyond the conscious, rational, linear mind with its usual patterns of behavior. Avoid conversation and ordinary ways of moving together and experiment with other ways that allow you to stay within your expanded selves. Laughter is welcomed.

This creates a flow, especially the more you experience love between you, feel that you are all made of one love that is playing through you.

Feel each other's auras with your hands, with your eyes open or closed, listen to the auras's tones of harmonies or disharmonies, feel for congestions or cold spaces or rough spots, or areas of different color. When you are first doing this, be careful not to let your imagination get out of hand by desiring to come up with a psychic hit. Don't push it, but only say something if it truly feels that you are feeling what is within the other persons's field without your own agendas, interpretations, or being influenced by something going on in your own aura that you interpret as theirs. You may want to gently ask the person about what you are feeling, without leading or suggesting too much. Ask vaguely at first about the general area, if they feel anything there themselves, the history of an area you feel drawn to.

Sometimes, using crystals to scrape the skin, or sage to rub on it or smoke near it will help you identify which areas seem to be calling the tools to them for more work. Keep working to release areas that your hands just naturally keep working with. Keep your conscious mind out of directing it. As you gain more feedback, you will learn your strengths and weaknesses, hone your skills, and gain confidence. And you may be able to be of help to people you give your readings to by giving them some insights. Be careful about the wording so you don't suggest anything to them without also preferably suggesting a solution that you are certain will work and that they can do.


Disrupting Auric Interaction Patterns

People as a whole generally have auric distortions in our dynamics with others, as we push and pull, twist away and latch on or lash out with our energy bodies. Usually, we know this is happening to us on a subconscious level, and react, or become uncomfortable when trying to pretend it isn't happening.

Part of LucidPlay in a group setting is striving to avoid the usual imbalanced auric interactions between people that come because of past associations and learned behaviors. As we get together in the space and go into our most blissful, light filled beingness, stretching to identify with our widest levels of our auras, we get a chance to drop the ego to ego patterns for awhile and see how that feels. Before going to a LucidPlay group event, this is excellent to pay attention to, see what it is you would like to drop during that time, which makes it easier to drop it afterwards. Work on dropping it now.

Think about ways you've felt people use their auras in ways that were uncomfortable to you. Some people pull, trying to suck you in. Some push, trying to get your goat and get your attention. Some jumble and confuse, overwhelm. Some spike, some twist the reality to hide, some withdraw inside theirs, etc. Think about how you react when they do that. Do you go into denial and act like everything is OK? Do you play along with their story, reinforce it? There are many reactions. Imagine how you could react in a more healthy, productive way with someone.

And look honestly at your own interactions and see if you do any of these sorts of things with your own aura. Do you try to get others to take care of you subtly, find yourself attacking when you get defensive, leaving out of the top of your head to avoid communications, focus on their sexuality in a manipulative or limiting way, enlarge your aura to seem important, or try to become invisible, etc?

Imagine how you could engage people in a more clean cut way, more directly, just as two egg shaped auras vibrating together, keeping boundaries healthily intact while exchanging across them knowing we are all part of one connected whole. Trees and people exchange molecules while we breathe, as we are all one whole, but we don't lose our identity and become enmeshed. Connecting is safe when we see the wholeness of all things, as long as we keep our boundaries functioning, filtering out what is not needed.

Next time you go out in public, just play with the way your auras interact. Don't take it too seriously, or put pressure on yourself, but with strangers, maybe try out different ways of auric interactions, good or bad, without telling them what you're doing. Just see how it feels, play with them like playing with a ball, or masks, or bumper cars. And with people you know and trust, see if you can see what may be happening aurically that isn't for the best and try exagerating it, making fun of it together, play acting it, dancing it, making reference to it lightly in ways that acknowledge that you know. And that they know. Don't come off as superior, but as co conspirators. Have a good laugh about it.

Imagine how it could be different, and play act that, dance it, paint it, program yourself to dream it, try it out with friends either telling them what you are doing or not. And see what needs you feel may be unmet, what fears may be too overwhelming if you interact cleanly, or what insecurities prevent healthy interactions. Dig deeply to see what you need to heal.

Explore what family dynamics led you to falling into patterns of auric exchange that are manipulative. And maybe what past lives led you to chose that interaction. Sometimes, the past led you to believe the world was dangerous and you had to attack, or that you would be attacked and you had to just take it, or whatever the pattern is, and you found a family that mirrored that belief to you. Sometimes it is a way to work through that type of patterning together and evolve past it. Many possibilities.

When you do the Tantric exercises that take you into your larger self, feel the self that has always been whole and wise, always makes correct interacting patterns. Remember that's who you are, ultimately. Experience, feel how natural and relaxing it is to just be that. As you strengthen the conduit between the larger and smaller selves through the spine, from upper to lower chakras, or energy whorls, let more of that lucid self inform the limited self. When you do the LucidPlay group events, you can practice interacting from those levels and see how much easier it is, how much more enriching, and life affirming, how much better you can see each other for what you truly are, how much easier it is to be seen for your true nature.

Let go of whatever patterns you want to release when you come back to your limited perspective. Let them flow out into the ground and turn into intert subtle matter. Cut the cords to that behavior so it doesn't become attracted back.

 

Drawing in Unison

Two or more people can do this. You just need pen and paper.

Draw something but don't let the other person see what you're doing, and don't talk about what you're doing. Go into a deep state of consciousness, maybe altering your state through Tantric exercises first. Establish a rapport between each other, see how much you can feel the flow of consciousness between you, the love. And just go into the spirit of play, with no agenda, no pressure, just draw something somewhat simple and small.

You may want to do a series of images, starting each one at the same time, and making sure you know the order you drew them in.

Then, show them to each other. You will probably have a wild time  noticing the similarities in composition between the drawings you did at the same time. And very possibly, similarities in subject matter as well.

You may want to use each moment of drawing to create what vibration you feel the world could use. Drawing activism. Not because someone will see it but because the very act of drawing, the very shape of the drawing itself, the intention from the highest levels of your being, will actually put out the frequency that is needed at the moment. Or that is the best play at the moment.

Lucid Fiction

This world we live in is a fiction, as we are labelling it, describing it, from our own perspective. We are making it up, such as looking at each thing as separate, making the distinctions of boundaries almost arbitrarily. We see colors that are actually the colors that are reflected back, the only colors that are not in what we are seeing. We perceive material as solid, when there is far more space, like the night sky with stars. We see ourselves as being these humans in flesh, knowing so little, when in reality, we are much more powerful and wise and expansive.

Our society is a fiction. Historians change the facts to present a completely different version of reality than what really happened. The mass media covers up the truth completely. The origins of our race itself have been distorted, our capabilities underestimated. Aliens are denied. The fact that our government is plotting against us is not allowed to be discussed without us being labelled terrorists. Religious figures based on astronomy are taken literally.

Each life is a fiction, a story, and the ego itself has quite an agenda of staying in the problem solving mode, with conflict and perpetual desire. The things that occur in our lives can seem like mundane linear progressions of events. Until we start looking at magical synchronicities, dreamlike events that can't be just ordinary. Until we experience our selves from the largest levels. Until we go into Theta brainwave frequency and plunge into the dream of our lives and start to make it lucid.

Can the fiction, the dream, of our world become lucid?

Fiction generally promotes the fictions of newtonian physics, biology promoted by scientists trying to keep their jobs at the universities, news reported by shows owned by politicians, politicians who tell us terrorism comes from the outside of our country rather than from within it. Fiction promotes the idea that we are linear beings with occurances happening because of matter of fact reasons. Fiction promotes the idea of plot and conflict being the center of our lives.

Can we go within the state of fiction and lucidify it? Help it realize it's dreaming?

Can fiction in our stories wake up the fiction of our society, help it move out of the Beta brainwave dominant interpretations of the world into more all inclusive perspectives that move closer to some semblance of reality? Can we experience the Delta state consciously, the state normally reserved for dreamless sleep? I learned to experience that consciously at will using biofeedback machines, at age 13. It helps be beyond the dream. We can learn to pulse out into this dreamed reality and back into the dreamer of it, strobing back and forth.

Can our stories describe humans including all levels of ourselves, the networking at all levels with other beings? Can they encourage moving beyond plot, the dualistic conflict oriented need for drama? Can they acknowledge the conspiracy of our politica, military, and religious leaders without putting it into sci fi format? Can we write our rough drafts of stories from the dreamlike Theta level, bypassing the rational mind? Can they help the reader become more lucid?
