Come see us on MySpace, why don'tcha?and
FacebookThis is a fun, avant garde experimental noise band in the tradition of John Cage. Most of the sound is made by household objects, such as hitting the flexible side of a metal shower stall, scraping across the grid of a fan, turning water off and on.....On a few songs, I play the dulcimer, and Peter Wilm plays the guitar, but otherwise, every sound is unconventional, spontaneous.
The core members of the orchestra are Paul C. Wilm and myself. The first CD, Equinox Hymns, are only us. Peter Wilm and Chris Lawson are the expandable band members. Peter plays equally with Paul and myself on the second CD, Mating Moon. Chris plays equally with Paul and myself on the third CD, Household Explosions. All of us are artists.
All are available through me, and are in the process of being available on Amazon.
All the music videos here are from the first CD. More to come, with great hilarity.
Ruby Fire music went to Romania. It is the soundtrack to the presentation video I showed as the VIP specially invited guest at Atlantykron. Scenes of the orchestra are a big part of the presentation, and I taught students there to make similar music, to let go and get feral. All the members of Ruby Fire were in full absurd regalia in the movie presentation as well as being the soundtrack. And to top it off, Chris Lawson sings his song, "I'm the Night Watchman," for 600 people through the movie presentation.
